Wellington
is situated at the junction of the Macquarie and Bell
rivers, in the Central West of NSW. The beautiful
Wellington Valley nestles at the foothills of the
Catumbel Range, and its slogan is Where the
mountains and the rivers meet. Wellington has all
the services of a thriving country town combined with a
village atmosphere, a water playground at its back door (Lake
Burrendong), and of course, it has WELLINGTON DAY VIEW
CLUB.
Wellington
VIEW Club was formed in 1970 and is part of the network
of VIEW clubs which was founded by the Smith Family in
1960 for the purpose of promoting the Voice, Interests
and Education of Women. When the club first started, many
of the members were the wives of local farmers; today,
most have retired to town and of course, have continued
to support VIEW and The Smith Family. Wellington VIEW
members have seen many changes and have adapted, as only
country people can. The VIEW club is full of fun and
excitement.

Nowadays,
Wellington is renowned for its themed meetings, which
include: Putting on the Ritz, Music Hall Extravaganda,
Spring is in the Air, Easter Bonnet Parades, Fashion
Parades and many more. Guest Speakers are varied and
interesting and the Viewpoint is given every month with
lots of gusto. Friends look forward to meeting and
chatting, each month. Four Learning for Life students
benefit from the enthusiasm of Wellington VIEW members,
as well as the three schools that receive Book Award
vouchers. The hands of these ladies are never still -
monies are constantly being raised with trading tables,
raffles, special themed raffles, card parties and of
course, luncheon meetings.

Wellington
VIEW Club boasts at least 14 inagural members, actively

group of fun loving, hard working ladies - you never know
- it might just keep YOU young!!
